Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

The quote process asks only for gender, date of birth, tobacco use, health level, desired coverage amount and term length. That's all we need to show you rates from carriers. Your name and contact information stay private until you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The quotes shown reflect what carriers would charge for your selected health class. Your actual premium comes after underwriting, which may confirm, improve or change the class. These quotes are estimates, not guarantees of what you'll pay.

What happens when I click Apply?

You continue into a carrier application that carries forward your answers. You can fill it out now or save progress and come back. When you're ready, you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), handles the application for you.

Will I need a medical exam?

That depends on the carrier, the amount you're applying for, and your health profile. Some carriers can decide quickly for eligible applicants without a paramedical exam. Each quote tells you whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not needed.

Is a longer term better?

A term should run through the years when income loss would hurt most: a mortgage, young children, a business loan. Longer terms cost more monthly but lock in the rate for longer. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years side by side.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool doesn't ask for your name, phone or email. We don't sell or share any information, and our measurement uses no cookies or tracking. See the privacy page for exactly what is collected and who sees it.
